The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer

I was a kid who went to camp. Not artist camp but church camp. The fun kind. So this had that going for it. Great characters whose friendships evolve over 3+ decades. Secrets of course! I liked this book more than I thought. More for characters other than the main one (Jules). The struggle of the heart wanting what the heart wants plays itself out here and is very realistic. Friendships are complicated, to me, are a major part of what makes life beautiful. This book is definitely about the journey. Fingernails on chalkboard however if listening to audiobook when it comes to kid voices – my god the orator goes overboard. Not much kid dialogue though, thankfully only for that reason.

The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye by David Lagercrantz

Yes I have read every Lisbeth Salander book!. Well, listened to a couple. I know the latest ones are by a different author but I like them. I like her badass character. This book was a great listen. The story itself is interesting and good! Nonlinear. Loved the accent of the reader. Some of the Swedish words baffle me. The names are cool sounding. I think if you liked the first books, you will like these and this one in particular. I wonder if that is the last we will hear of Benito?!?!
